During the past 35 years, I have served as an educational consultant for parents in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I serve as an advocate for parents of children and youth with disabilities. I also conduct independent educational evaluations when parents seek an alternative evaluation from one conducted by a local school department.

The populations of children with whom I work include: ADD, autism, cognitive delays, emotional disorders, gifted and talented, learning disabilities and others.

I continue to serve as a full time professor of Special Education at Rhode Island College where I have been employed since 1973.

I have held national office in my field, authored articles in a regional and national basis and have served as a presenter at many local, state, regional and national conferences. I am currently writing a column for SOCO Magazine as well as the Rhode Island Family Magazine.
